A mobile kitchen on a cargo bike designed for community gardens and events, suitable for cookery workshops, communal cooking, catering etc. This is the first one, commissioned by the amazing Leith Community Crops in Pots project for their Community Croft in Leith, Edinburgh. The kitchen has 3 gas burners, a sink with cold water, a hot water boiler, fold out table and double width awning. It is converted from a Christiania Cargo Bike. The aesthetics of the machine were inspired by early aeroplanes, and more specifically the Piper Cub seaplane, reflecting the pioneering work being done by the Leithers. Plus the influence of a childhood spent reading Tintin books!
